The Knight School specializes in making chess super exciting and whimsical for all ages and skill levels, K-5th grade. We love beginners! Chess has been proven to improve test scores, problem-solving skill sets, and focus--but my favorite part of teaching chess is instilling academic confidence, or an identity as a "smart kid," in each and every one of my students! Each week we learn a hilarious and developmentally enriching chess lesson, which corresponds to a colorful, collectible wristband--if students can implement the lesson in their tournament games in class, they collect that band. Students absolutely love our high-energy and dynamic program, and families love that TKS fosters sportsmanship and the love of learning!
