Atelier Gráfico is a creative art studio founded by Gioconda Padovan, a multidisciplinary artist and art educator who loves working with children. She is Education Faculty at VisArts in Rockville, MD, where she leads workshops and after-school programs in multimedia and ceramics. Atelier Gráfico offers supportive, hands-on art experiences that inspire imagination, self-expression, and curiosity through a wide variety of materials and techniques.

Get ready to explore the playful world of clay! In this 12-week hands-on ceramics studio, young artists will learn the three essential handbuilding techniques: pinch, coil, and slab. Students will sculpt imaginative creations, build functional pottery, experiment with textures, and explore ceramic decoration using acrylic paint, underglazes, and glazes. Along the way, they will learn how to safely join clay, transform their ideas into three-dimensional artwork, and experience the fascinating process of creating and firing ceramics. Each student will finish the program with a unique collection of handmade pieces to enjoy and proudly take home.

Turn ordinary LEGO® tiles into extraordinary works of art!
Designed for students in 2nd grade and up, this six-week printmaking program introduces young artists to a fun and creative way to make original prints. Using reusable LEGO® tiles as printing plates, students will design, ink, and print their own artwork while experimenting with pattern, texture, shape, and color.
Students will create a new original print each week, building a collection of five unique artworks throughout the session. During the final week, the class will work together to create one collaborative print celebrating everyone's creativity.
This program uses small LEGO® tiles and is recommended for students in 2nd grade and up.

In this six -week mixed media art program, young artists will explore the styles and techniques of famous artists from different times and cultures. Inspired by masters such as Hilma af Klint, Yayoi Kusama, Toulouse-Lautrec, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and many more, students will experiment with painting, collage, printmaking, drawing, and other creative techniques while creating their own original artwork.
Each child will leave with a colorful collection of unique art inspired by history's greatest artists—all while discovering their own creative voice.
No experience is needed. All materials are included.
