Art Clubs for Kids is an after-school program at MCPS schools providing safe spaces for primary education students. Our program develops their artistic talents, allowing them to connect with like-minded peers and explore various art forms. We ensure students are supported and nurtured through supervised care and fun throughout their experience with Art Clubs for Kids. Art Clubs for Kids is designed to enable all students to make better sense of their world through art education. Classes are offered to students enrolled in general education. Materials are provided by the program unless instructed otherwise. REFUND POLICY: Cancellation up to 5 days before start date – 100% refundable less $27.50 administrative fee.

Description
Geometric art is a type of art that uses shapes such as circles, squares, and triangles. It can include lines, patterns, and symmetry (things that match on both sides). In this course artists use these shapes to make designs that can be simple or really colorful and exciting. Geometric art can look like fun doodles or even cool computer art, all made by putting shapes together in creative ways!
Students will meet at 3:45 - 4:45 in the art room for 6 weeks. Supplies are provided. The cost is $270.00 per student.

Description
Mosaic art is made by putting together tiny pieces of paper, glass, stone, or tile, called tesserae, to form pictures or patterns. You can also use paints! In this course, students will use mosaic art to create colorful and lasting designs. Mosaics can show simple patterns or detailed scenes, and they are loved for their bright colors, textures, and classic beauty.
