Spanish Introductory: El ratoncito del campo
Grades: K - 1st (Ages: 6 - 7) Co-ed
Let’s start speaking! This story-based program taught by native Spanish speakers provides a fun introduction to Spanish where children learn and practice speaking a new language through songs, puppets, games, storytelling, and hands-on activities. This class is designed for students who may not be reading and/or writing yet. Join us for our winter session story, El ratoncito del campo y el ractoncito de la ciudad, or The City Mouse and the Country Mouse.
Each session introduces children to a different story with new vocabulary, topics, and themes. Vocabulary booklets and activities support early literacy skills in the language.
Additional Notes
Minimum 8, Maximum 12 students
Children will bring home a completed activity after each lesson. We encourage parents to review their children’s work and to ask them to share the new words and songs they are learning. Each child will have their own vocabulary booklet to use during class. Booklets will be sent home at the end of the session.
Our story and themes rotate so children will learn new vocabulary and concepts each session. Children can participate in Kindergarten and in 1st Grade.
