Spanish Beginner and Intermediate
Grades: 2nd - 5th (Ages: 7 - 12) Co-ed
Open a window to another culture, communicate in another language, and make discoveries! Big Learning instructors are fluent Spanish speakers and classes build practical language and early literacy skills in a fun, informal language immersion setting with lively games, songs, cultural notes, activities, and an accompanying workbook.
Each session we explore different themes and topics so children can learn new vocabulary and concepts throughout the school year. This level is appropriate for new beginners and continuing students with previous experience. Classes are also appropriate for children who hear and speak the language at home. Our teachers will make assessments and tailor instruction with differentiated activities for students who are ready for more advanced material. As children progress from beginner to advanced, there is more reading and writing practice.
Classes are intended for children who are already reading and writing in English.

During each class, there will be plenty of time for activities, games, and songs to keep students engaged and speaking the target language. On the first day of class your child will receive a workbook in a pocket folder. Each child will use their own workbook during class. Workbooks will be sent home each week. Thank you for helping your child remember to bring their workbook and folder back to school on class days!
From our experience, children can be hungry after school. Although Big Learning instructors do not provide snacks, there is time for your child to eat a simple snack from home before class starts.

Refund Policy
If classes are postponed or cancelled due to weather or illness we make every effort to make up the time. If students miss individual classes or drop after the class is confirmed there are no make-ups or refunds.
