Students will be able to create beautiful “pointillism” art using dot technique to create spring imagery.  They will understand dot art as a painting technique where distinct dots of color are applied in patterns to form an image. This revolutionary painting technique became known as Pointillism and attempted to use the science of optics when creating paintings. This was done by painting small but separate dots of unmixed colors side by side, which were placed in various patterns in order to form an image. Students will use daubers (like in Bingo!) and chalk pens o create their own pointilistic art.
