Does your child love to dance in the car or attempt break dancing in the kitchen? Then this might be the class for them! In this high energy hip hop dance class, students will learn the fundamentals of this increasingly popular dance form including break dancing, popping and locking, and freezes, as well as iconic hip hop movements including the cabbage patch, the wave, the snake, and more! Class emphasizes rhythm and style, personal expression, choreography, basic strengthening and conditioning, and having fun! Class culminates with an informal end of session in class parent show!

About Message in Motion

What we do:

Welcome to Message In Motion! We are an on-site enrichment company that brings classes traditionally taught in a studio or gym conveniently into the classroom during the school day.  We offer a variety of classes to boys and girls of all ages including:

  1. Ballet/Tap

  2. Hip Hop

  3. Cheerleading

  4. Musical Theatre

  5. Circus Arts/Mime

  6. Dance Around the World

  7. Tea & Manners

  8. Ballet/Jazz

Classes typically range from 45 min-1 hour, and are held weekly either running continuously from the start of the school year-the end of the school year, or in a fall, winter, and spring session format.

Our mission:

We at Message In Motion believe that when art is shared with an audience it is a universal language, and therefore always shares a message. We ensure that message to be a positive one.

The four I's

  1. Implement  enrichment classes in schools in order to offer a more convenient and affordable alternative to parents

  2. Introduce students to a variety of ways to stay fit, engage the mind, and be encouraged by the arts

  3. Instruct proper technique and form

  4.  Instill important skills including cooperation, self-discipline, confidence, creativity, and personal expression

    Currently serving schools in Montgomery County and Northern Virginia.

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be given for all classes that must be canceled due to not having met the class min, or for those classes that are full and have already met the class max. No refunds will be given beginning 24 hours before the start of the first class and thereafter.
